clients. With the Companies (Amendment) Act 2003 coming into
force with effect from 15 May 2003, there is no longer a requirement
for a professionally qualified Company Secretary for private
Companies. Some person must still be appointed to hold this
office- however Companies may decide whether they want to
assume these responsibilities through a lay person instead
of a professionally qualified Company Secretary.
